I’ve decided to start a new series on my blog to document my monthly goals. This blog started as a part diary as something I could look back on. Since I am already a very goal driven person, I love setting goals for myself that can make me the best version of myself. Every month, I’ll be looking back at the previous month’s goals to see if I completed them or if I’ll be tabling them for the next month. These goals will include categories such as health, school, relationships, career, blogging, and personal aspects. I am going into this knowing that sometimes goals take more than a month to complete but this is my first step to making them happen; judgement aside.
April Monthly Goals:
- Reading 1-2 chapters a week for my class for teacher licensure in Iowa. By the end of April, I would like to have chapters 1-10 completed and sent in for grading. I’ve already completed chapter one!
- Registering for my GRAD school classes for this summer! I’ve made the leap & am excited to get started on this journey.
- After finding my favorite (hot) yoga studio and classes of all time, I would like to increase my practice from 1-2 times a week to 2-3. Not only do I want to make this commitment for my body but for my mental health and to show myself I can do it!
- I would like to find special ways to show my family & friends from afar that I am thinking about them!
- Spring cleaning our cabinet in the bathroom (old beauty products I don’t use anymore!) & in one of the bedrooms upstairs!
- Completing one blog post a week & posting on Instagram more consistently. As spring comes, there are many beautiful opportunities for pretty photography – I’d love to feature on the blog!
- Finish my last music program at my elementary school for the year
- Buy 1-2 classic clothing items to add to my wardrobe for spring
- This is something I’ve been much better at but want to continue – going to bed early. I’d like to be in bed before 10pm each night to ensure I get a good nights sleep for work the next day. Tied to this – I’d also like to have no phone time before bed. I started it a few weeks ago and have been falling asleep much faster!
