I love decorating all year and love mixing things up in our home (hence our new couch coming this week hehe) but nothing compares to decorating for Christmas. It is so joyful creating memories and traditions with Tony as we make our house a home. Although the majority of our Christmas decor stayed the same from last year, we decided to add some things this year and swapped some out.
Our tree is my favorite combination of colors – white, green, and black. This year I seriously shed a tear as we put up our engagement ornaments, Christmas in our first home, and ornaments that Tony and I made for each other when we were dating years and years ago. Each year we add special memories to our tree as we build our life together. I’ve been brainstorming the last few months about our family room and a way to use the space around our fireplace for storage. After some time, we decided to go with these cabinets and added our hardware from our kitchen to match for a custom look. As you can see, above the cabinets I am looking at which frames I’d like to use. Black or wood tone? Put your vote down below!
We decided against real garland on our banister this year and instead got some pretty garland that matched above our kitchen sink. Although we loved the vibes that real garland created, the dry pine needles weren’t as pretty in person as we had hoped. I kept the ivory and gold ribbons from last year and I love the feminine touch they add. Even though this garland didn’t come pre-lit, I just added a string of lights for some extra sparkle.
