Its really amazing to see how people gathering around your little one (who isn’t even born yet) can make your heart grow a million sizes. Tony and I have friends and family spread all about and getting all together doesn’t happen often (twice actually – our wedding and our gender reveal). Having everyone together to celebrate babe-to-be makes me so thankful for the people we have in our life.
When I was about 10 weeks pregnant, I had come across the What Will Baby Bee gender party theme and was in love. I had decided that once we turned 14 weeks, we’d send out our little bee invites and plan a big bash just as an excuse to get everyone together in our home for the first time. With some help, we went big and I’m so glad we did because its something special I’ll always remember. The invitations and all the bee signage were from an etsy shop and was easy to customize. I grabbed some wooden frames from Target that I knew I’d repurpose for another party or use in her room later. In the frames I put these little signs sprinkled around the tables and food.
Favors and the balloon arch came from amazon and with some added tags from Hobby Lobby so they became more personalized. This party, I wanted each guest to feel special by having a personalized bottle for when they came in – filled with yellow lemonade of course.
Although party planning and decorating fills my bucket, nothing could top us telling our family that we are having a sweet baby girl! Tony and I had found out about 10 days before our party and kept it a secret the whole time. We are just thrilled to welcome her into the world and are so ready to meet her. 18 more weeks to go! In true Meagan fashion, I couldn’t resist making a video of our special moments – something about video that makes a moment come back to life.
